Sir David Robertson (19 January 1890 – 3 June 1970) was a British accountant, company director and politician. From a Scottish family, he represented first a constituency in London and then the Scottish highlands constituency of Caithness and Sutherland. He was an expert on the fishing industry. == Family and early career == Robertson's father John was from Caithness but became Chief Inspector of the General Post Office in Glasgow, and Robertson was brought up in the city. He went to Woodside School and Allan Glen's School. In 1907 he was apprenticed to Mitchell and Smith, Chartered Accountants, before going to the University of Glasgow.
